The Uxperiencit theory of immortality is a materlistic/ scientific theory of conscious existence and identity, life after death, and immortality. We will show in this chapter why other theories are, unscientific, incoherent, and untenable.

There are many misperceptions about the self. What is important to others is the behavior of your body. What is important to you is that you experience life which is being conscious. So there are two view points of surviving, survival of death, and immortality. From an external observer what matters is the behavior of your body. It does not matter if you are actually conscious or not only that you act like you are alive. For your self you have to be at least periodicly conscious to be surviving. Behavior of your body is just part of your consciousness that you observe.

Science shows that the functioning of the body specifically the nervous system produces consciousness. Identically replicating the structure and functioning of the body identically replicates the behavior of the body. Which is for all external observers all that is necessary for survival of death. This is because there is no way for external observers to know if you are an identical replica or not unless they were told. Philosophy has theories of personal identity of two types dualistic and materialistic. Dualist can not see how consciousness is produced by the body so they add a second aspect like a soul to be the real self. Materialist believe that the consciousness is the body or is produced by the body there is no second aspect involved.

Four types of existence and identity used for determing identity and existence for survival, life after death, and immortality. They are: Soul existence and identity, Personal existence and identity, conscious existence and identity, and ixperiencit/uxperiencit existence and identity. Soul identity deals with identity of the soul through space and time. Personal identity deals with identity of the body. Conscious identity deals with identity of consciousness. Ixperiencit/uxperiencit identity deals with the identity of conscious experience for defining survival and immortality. You can make many changes to the body and still have identity of consciousness. You can make many change to consciousness and still have identity of Ixperiencit/uxperiencit. This is what makes survival of death and immortality possible. Not only can we deal with identity of each, but there will be a continuum of difference between any two points on a person continuum -- physicontinuum, structure and functioning continuum -- sfcontinuum, awarecontinuum, and ixperiencit continuum. So statements like it is 50 percent the same person has meaning as well as 60 percent the same ixperiencit. When we break consciousness and or ixperiencit into parts we can have identity of parts and percentage identity of parts. There can be discrete elements of personness, consciousness or ixperiencit where it is all or nothing.

The existence of souls is debated and have never been proven to exist thus the identity of souls is a moot point. We have good reason to believe that people, consciousness and the ixperiencit aspect of consciousness exists.

We can see different possible future experiences --awarepaths and any one can be us. There are all sorts of things I could do tomorrow (in the future) that will not make me some one else. There are all sorts of things I could experience tomorrow (in the future) that will not make me some one else.

We could have experienced a different past with out making us a totally different person (ixperiencit). There are all sorts of things that I could have done in the past that would not have made me some one else. There are all sorts of things that I could have experienced in the past that would not have made me some one else.

There are many things that could have happened or will happen to me that will change me but I will still experience these changes and the resulting person is still my ixperiencit.
