Introduction part 1

Introductory statement

If true, the science of superimmortality is one of the most important scientific theory ever developed. The science of superimmortality predicts that all conscious beings are superimmortal which includes all humans and all conscious animals. Superimmortality is much better for humans than any religious theory of immortality. Superimmortality is based on science not any supernatural entities like gods, souls, spirits, demons, or any imagined places like heaven, hell, or concepts like sin, redemption, or grace.

This podcast will provide substantial evidence for the truth of superimmortality. It will define what superimmortality is and how it applied to each person. Superimmortality shows the world- universe to be a wonderful caring place for conscious beings to exist in. The understanding of the science of superimmortality gives extra hope, meaning, and purpose to human lives. Superimmortality solves many of the problems with immortality like over population, boredom, eternal conscious torment, etc. Superimmortality shows how you can experience being with loved ones after their deaths and even after your death. Your conscious existence throughout time and space depends on what you do during your many different conscious lives. It is not dependent on gods that may or may not care about what or even if you consciously experience anything.

Principles

Like most sciences superimmortality is based on founding principles. Depending on what you want to call them, these founding principles, axioms, or laws, of the science of superimmortality are called:

  1. The identity principle of behavior.
  2. The near identity principle of behavior.
  3. The identity principle of consciousness.
  4. The near identity principle of consciousness.
  5. The neuronal near identity principle of consciousness.
  6. The divergence principle of consciousness.
  7. The variational consciousness principle.
  8. The ixperiencitness principle of the self.

The supporting evidence and rational arguments for these principles will be explained in later podcasts.

The identity principle of behavior

The identity principle of behavior is if the structure and functioning that is produced in one body, is identically created in another body it will produce identical behavior in that other body. Stated in another way two or more bodies that produce identical structure and functioning over a period of time will be producing identical behavior over this period of time.

One might assume that structure and functioning of a body is identical to the behavior produced by that body but they are not identical. This is because one structure and functioning over a period of time will produce only one behavior sequence over that period of time. Whereas one behavior sequence can be produced by many different structure and functioning sequences over this period of time.

The near identity principle of behavior

The near identity principle of behavior is if the structure and functioning that is produced in one body, is near identically created in another body it will produce identical behavior in that other body. Stated in another way two or more bodies that produce near identical structure and functioning over a period of time will be producing identical behavior over this period of time.

Because of the near identity principle of behavior many near identical structured and functioning bodies cam produce the same identical behavior.

The identity principle of consciousness

The identity principle of consciousness is if identical structure and functioning is produced in another body, that other body will produce identical consciousness for the period of time that they are structured and functioning identically. Stated differently two or more identically structured and functioning bodies will produce identical consciousnesses over this period of time.

The near identity principle of consciousness

The near identity principle of consciousness is that to produce identical consciousness in another body, producing only near identical structure and functioning is sufficient.

The neuronal near identity principle of consciousness

The neuronal near identity principle of consciousness is that since the nervous system produces consciousness, near identity of structure and functioning of the whole body is not necessary to produce identical consciousness in another body. Near identical structure and functioning in another brain produces identical consciousness in that other brain.

The divergence principle of consciousness

The divergence principle of consciousness is the concept that at any point in your life, there are a very large number of potential divergent structures and functionings of your body that will produce a consciousness that you will experience, if These structures and functionings were to be produced in your current body or another different body.

For example, at this present moment there are an extremely large amount of different things that you could do such as eat a meal, take a walk, sleep, etc. Each different thing that you do will give you different conscious experiences. These different conscious experiences will produce differences in the structure and functioning in your body over time. If these different structures and functionings were produced in another body, superimmortality predicts that, they would produce identical consciousnesses in these different bodies. And very importantly, if you experience these various consciousnesses in your body, you would also experience these consciousnesses produced in these other bodies as well in the exact same way as you do in your current body.

Variational consciousness principle

There are many different structures and functioning of a body or a brain that will produce a consciousness that you will experience if they are actually produced by your body or by a different body or brain.

For example, right now there are many different movies that you could watch. Your brain would function differently for each different movie. At the end of the movie your brain would have a somewhat different structure. You would experience each movie if you weren't asleep and were paying at least, some attention to the movie.

The ixperiencitness principle of the self

Superimmortality does not define you as a body or a soul. Superimmortality defines you as all of the consciousnesses that you can or do experience through out space and time. What makes you think that your current body is you? It is because it is producing a consciousness that you experience. If and when your body no longer produces a consciousness that you experience you no longer exist. Even if your body behaves like it is alive and everyone around you believes you are still consciously produced within this body. For a person to be exist for themselves they have to experience being conscious. If I experience it it is me. If I do not experience it it is not me.

Superimmortality introduces a number of new technical or scientific terms to represent concepts that do not appear in the english language. The first of these terms is the physapath. The physapath is the structure and functioning of a body specifically a consciousness producing body over the life time of that body. The second term is the awarepath which represents the consciousness produced by a body over its life time. The physapath and awarepath can be broken into parts, moments, and sections. Physapaths and awarepaths can be grouped together in many different ways such as a grouping of physapaths that when they exist will produce a consciousness or awarepath that you will experience.

The self is defined mentally, by superimmortality, as all of the actual and potential awareparts, awaremoments, awaresections, awarepaths, awarevenues, and awarecontinuums that have the same ixperiencitness.

The self is defined physically, by superimmortality, as all of the actual and potential physaparts, physamoments, physasections, physapaths, physavenues, and physacontinuums that produce the same ixperiencitness.

These terms will be defined further in later podcasts.

The structure and functioning of the body produces the self

The ixperiencitness principle is: If I experience the consciousness produced by a body, it is part of the total conscious me or self. The self is more than what you experience at each moment in time. We believe this because we have memories of experiences in the past and are constantly aware of changes in our awareness from moment to moment.

Examples

The following examples are some of the applications of these previously stated principles of the science of superimmortality.

Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln was shot in the head at 10:15 in the evening of April 14 of 1865 and died at 7:22 the next morning.

If a near identical structure and functioning copy of Abraham Lincoln body, was created one minute before he was shot at Fords theater, today, superimmortality predicts that Abraham Lincoln would again consciously exist. What he would subjectively experience is one moment watching the play being performed at Fords theater to instantly being at a different place. This would be an extension of Lincoln's conscious life from a minute before he was shot. What he would experience from that moment on will depend on his current environment. If he was in a white room with a window, he would experience this. But, likely with a great deal of confusion.

What Lincoln experience from this point on depends on how environmental factors effect the structure and functioning of his brain. There are endless number of different environmental factors that can influence the resulting consciousness produced by Lincoln new body.

If Lincoln's brain was replicated in an experience machine where a continuation of the reality that he was experiencing before he was shot was recreated, no matter how much time has passed since his original body died, he would experience a continuation of his conscious life as if nothing has happened to him back then. At this point he could go on to experience any reality that the experience machine can and then would create.

You

The principles of superimmortality applies to you. After your death you can consciously exist again in many different ways. Since the structure and functioning of your body can be recreated in many different ways and at any time in the future.

There does not need to be continuity in matter, space, or time between your current structured and functioning body and a future different body. Continuity of self through time can be viewed from many different perspectives. If a structure and functioning of your body was recreated from a time period before your death, let's say at the exact moment you turned ten years old, there would be continuity of structure and functioning from that point in you life. There would be continuity of consciousness from that point in your life. If the environment was exactly the same as when you were actually that age you would not be aware of the passing of any time. Nor would you be aware of having a different body or being in a different place.

The question many people want to know is what will you consciously experience after the death of your current body. Although an experience machine could produce heaven or hell like experiences for a possible future life for you, why would we waste our technological efforts to do this? It is likely in the near future that you will develop again from a baby to adulthood on earth with the environment that the earth is producing at that time in the future. Just like now you will not be aware of past versions of yourself, unless of course you understand superimmortality. Further into the future with technological advancements there are endless possibilities of conscious versions of yourself. These versions can seem like an extension of your current life with no apparent conscious awareness of any intervening time passing.

There can be any number of conscious extensions of your current self from any point in your life without any awareness of ever dying. This means that you can experience dying in your current body and yet also experience never dying in other bodies that are producing the right structure and functioning.

Your loved ones

There are an endless number of different conscious lives you and your loved ones can experience in the future. Of course, this is only true if humans and other conscious beings exist into the future. Many of these conscious lives can have completely different sets of friends and loved ones. But your current life can be repeated again and again with the same loved ones within experiences machines or physapaducers. These repeated lives can be improved by removing bad parts and adding better experiences when desired.

Types of superimmortality

Superimmortality predicts that there can exist many different types of immortality. Some of these types are: Repetition, Extension, Divergent, Convergent, Enhancement, Multiplicity, Discontinuity, Magical, science fictional, novel, Electronic, and transformational.

Repetition

Any structure and functioning over a life time or physapath has the potential to be repeated in the same or different body, thus any consciousness or awarepath can be replicated any number of times. Your current life can be repeated over and over again any number of times by repeating the same physapath or neuropath over and over again. Superimmortality not only predicts that the physapath and awarepath can be repeated but that the ixperiencitness that this body produces is repeated also. Stated simply, you can experience your current conscious life over and over again through out space and time and never know that it is a repetition of your life in another body and not the original conscious life produced by the original body.

Extension

The science of superimmortality predicts that every life time can be consciously extended in another body in many different conscious ways with a continuation of the same ixperiencitness. For example, a child dies from a disease at ten years old. This child's body produced a physapath that produced an awarepath that she experienced until she died. If, in the future sometime, the physapath was reproduced a few days or even just moments before she got sick in another body she would experience being alive again without experiencing having being sick and then dying. She could experience a continuance of that cut short life in endless amount of different ways. On the other hand many people live to nice old ages. These lives can be extended in many different ways also, in other bodies, by the creation of one of many different potential physapath extensions. The importance aspect of these extensions is that they contain the production of your ixperiencitness. One potential extensions is a younger body but with a restored brain that is producing a continuation of the same or enhanced memories, skills, abilities, self identity, etc.,

Divergence

At any point in your life your sensual experiences and environmental conditions could have been different. If this was the case your physapath would have been different. If your physapath was different enough then your awarepath would have been different. For example, right now there are a number of different things you could do or different things that could happen to you. Each producing different sensations thus divergent physapaths and thus divergent awarepaths. Superimmortality predicts that many of these different awarepaths you will experience. In other words they will continue to produce your ixperiencitness.

Enhancement

At any point in your life superimmortality predicts that your physapath can be enhanced in many different ways. Any version of yourself can be enhanced as well. Many of these enhancements will continue to produce a consciousness that you will experience. Things that could be enhanced in your current or other bodies are memories, skills, abilities, knowledge senses, extra senses, health, etc. There are many people that have handicaps in their current life. For example, these people can not walk, see, hear, talk, or sometimes even move. Others have handicaps in their ability to learn, understand, write. read, or even communicate in other ways. Some people suffer from debilitating pain. These lives would be enhanced if their suffering was reduced or removed. Hopefully in the future with advancements in science and technology many of these problems can be solved. Although not as good for the current person's conscious experiences being enhanced, superimmortality predicts that these lives or awarepaths can be enhanced in other bodies so that they can experience normal lives without these deprivations and difficult lives.

Multiplicity

Within superimmortality the concept of multiplicity is that there can be any number of bodies producing a consciousness that you will experience at the same time. These different versions of yourself can have many different skills, knowledge, abilities, environments, etc. You, throughout space and time, through these different conscious versions of yourself, can make a very substantial positive effect on reality and conscious beings, if they so desire.

The concept of multiplicity gives an ixperiencitness grouping of conscious beings, as a group, many survival advantages in terms of controlling nature and the resulting consciousnesses they experience.

Through the concept of multiplicity of self you are part of a much greater conscious whole all of which are actually parts of a potential you.

A combination of the concepts of multiplicity, extension, enhancement, and divergence can create many different super sequential versions of each ixperiencitness grouping.

Universal Multiplicity of Self

Throughout this universe there will be a group of bodies that produce consciousnesses that you will experience. In a different universe there will likely be a different set of consciousnesses that you will experience in different places and times. These different sets and sequences of consciousnesses that have your ixperiencitness will have a different effects on the universe they exist in.

Physapaducers, Awarepaducers, Sensepaducers

The human body is an awarepaducer. This means it produces awarepaths. We can imagine other types of supporting bodies that are different from human bodies but still produce neuropaths that produce a consciousness that you will experience. Some people call this a brain in a vat stimulated by a complex computer that can create any type of reality for your brain. Awarepaducers could produce lifetimes that reality cannot, such a realities with supernatural, magical, or illogical/irrational experiences. Awarepaducers could even produce realities where any religion is real including experiencing resurrection, reincarnation, heaven, and hell, etc. If you honestly care about conscious versions of yourself you will want these experiences to be positive and useful.

Electronic brains

The science of superimmortality uses the term electronic brains to mean brains that have a structure and functioning like biological brains i.e., neural networks not computers. Electronic brain will have devices that act like neurons. These electronic neurons will be connected to other similar electronic neurons like biological neurons are connected to each other in a human or biological brain. The importance of these electronic brains is that they likely can be manipulated easier to produce desired conscious experiences. They may be able to produce awarepaths that biological brains cannot produce.

The reason these types of brains might be valuable to you is that they may allow for interesting positive awarepaths, that you can experience, that biological brains cannot produce. Robots with your ixperiencitness could do many types of things that human brains and bodies can not do. It might be possible that we can colonize outer space with electronic versions of ourselves. In other words many more possible versions of each person can be produced in each solar system even if there are no suitable places for humans to live.

Discontinuity

Superimmortality does not require continuity of soul or spirit, body, space, time, matter, nor structure and functioning to produce the different versions of the self. Other theories require some form of continuity usually in order to produce the singularity and individuality of self. For example, one version of the the supernatural soul theory states there will be just one soul for a person that can be combined with just one body at a time.

If the truth is that there is no supernatural entity like a soul, to tie a person to, and continuity is necessary, then the self is tied to a singular body where once this bodies permanently dies so does the self.

Superimmortality states the obvious, if you experience a consciousness you exist, even if there is no continuity in a body or soul to another body or soul that produces these consciousnesses that you experience.

Topological

Topological immortality is where the body that produces consciousness is geometrically or topological modified yet continues to produce consciousness and ixperiencitness. In certain cases large changes in the structure and functioning will produce different consciousnesses but with the same ixperiencitness.

A simple example of a topological change in structure and functioning producing the same results is shown by the TV analogy. There are many different structures and functionings of different TV sets that will produce the same movie.
