Assimilation analogies
Assimilation analogies are analogies that show that assimulation is a supernatural and not scientific concept and as such it is not scientifically useful.
TV analogy for assimilation: Replace parts in a TV too fast or too many at a time and the showpath and selfconcept that the TV produces will be different even when the TV has the correct, within tolerances, structure and functioning like it would have before the replace parts were installed. This is clearly not the case for TV's or other electronic devices. Why should it be true for conscious beings like humans? For this to actually occur there would need to exist some supernatural force that changes the resulting showpath and or selfconcept. If this was true we would here complaints about the repairman like " He replaced too may parts in may TV too fast and now my TV will not play James bond movies, just Scifi movies instead."
TV analogy for assimilation: No matter how fast and no matter how much of the TV is replaced with new parts, if the resulting structure and functioning is within the needed tolerances the same TV physapath will produce the same showpath and selfconcept.
