The ixperiencitness is not an object
Spectrum of cases for memories experiments Can I have all the memories of napoleon and still have my ixperiencit if so how would this be possible and on the other hand can I have all the memories of napoleon and be him
Spectrum of cases for neurons
Spectrum of cases for same matter Spectrum of cases for orientation of matter Spectrum of cases for the same elements of matter
Spectrum of cases for connectedness Spectrum of cases for continuity Spectrum of cases for consciousness Spectrum of cases for percentage of body Spectrum of cases for the ixperiencit Spectrum of cases for change in structure Spectrum of cases for sf -- structure and functioning Spectrum of cases for overlapping structure Spectrum of cases for type of functioning neuron vs electric circuit vs photonic circuit Spectrum of cases for overlap of functioning Spectrum of cases for spread in physical distance (fidentireplica) Spectrum of cases for spread in temporal distance
There is not only the problem with the elimination of a person but the creation of another person that is not you or more specifically the creation of a new ixperiencit. It is a continuum process on many different spectrums of consciousness.
Clarity is important in understanding concepts the concept of memories when viewed as a part of sf are generated as singular when we say all of some one else's memories have been given to some one else this person does not experience all these memories at the same time memories occur sequentially they can be run together they can be in any sequence with any spacing. Memories are also less than the experiences themselves so they leave out many of the exact details that actually happened. The experience itself does not capture every thing that has happened at this event. A memory of the experience remembered at different times by the original is going to be different so which version of the original memory is the correct memory for the future person to have is the correct one?
One problem is the considering a simple spectrum. Movement in one direction is supposed to be more like a particular person and the opposite direction is supposed to make a person less like the original. When we consider a multidimensional spectrum if we define a point in this spectrum as a person most movement will be either toward this point or away from it. But an awaremoment is not a point it is a multi dimensional space so that movement in one direction can both make you closer and farther away from different point of the awaremoment. When you consider an awarepath this make the situation even more complex.
Universality versus multiplicity versus singularity this theory is a multiplicity theory there is another alternative theory I will call universality this is that we experience everything. I believe this to be an oversimplification of the situation. If one cannot accept singularity then you have to go to the other extreme of universality this alone is not a good reason.
There are also reasons beyond the mere facts that effects morals. If I accept universality should I not kill other animals because they are me? Should I replace them with non consciousness version that I can eat with out eating a being that produces a conscious version of my self? The concept of duplicity effects the out come. If every one is my consciousness but there is no duplicity or in other words no duplicate versions of any conscious being, it seem unfair to kill that individual. But isn’t this what we are trying to avoid. Universality with out duplicity is almost the same for morals as singularity with out duplicity.
Does this make every version just as important as each other? Again this will depend on the goals of the individual and society. For instance do we want to make this universe a more conscious place in the sense of more life? Do we want to be more consciousness in the sense of each conscious being is more conscious in the sense of ant to man and man to super conscious man? I do not think that there is a strong argument against duplicity. There is a difference between saying that duplicity is impossible to saying that it is unlikely. Clearly close versions are as good a duplicity in most cases.
