Personal survival usually means the survival of the body. But for the science of superimmortality it means a body producing a conscious that you experience or stated in another way it means there exists a body producing your ixperiencitness. Many people belief that personal survival ends at the death of the body. However, superimmortality predicts that personal survival is not dependent on one body but on the existence of different bodies producing one of the correct structures and functionings of matter that produce a consciousness that you experience. According to superimmortality conscious life for a person does not necessarily end with the death of the person's body; there can be other bodies continuing to produce a consciousness that he experiences or at a latter date other bodies producing a consciousness that he experiences. For example, if there is another body producing the structure and functioning that your body did at a younger age, at your bodies death, it will be producing the consciousness that your body did at that age, and you will be experiencing that consciousness just like you did with what you consider your one and only body that is now dead. If your body had not died it would have produced a structure and functioning. If this same or closely approximate structure and functioning was created in another body it would produce the same consciousness and you would experience it like you would have if your original body had not died.
