Continuity experiments argument
Mortalists believe that continuity of the same body is what continues or gives continuity to a persons unique ixperiencitness. If the assumption is that the body is what is important in producing the same ixperiencitness then
Experiments shows that if the body does not produce one of the correct structures and functionings it will not produce the original's ixperiencitness. Another set of experiments can be carried out where there is gradual change in the amount of matter that the body carries over from moment to moment. For example, the structure and functioning stays the same thus the behaviorpath stays the same but the amount of original matter changes in each experiment. The experiment can be a one time percentage amount change starting at one percentage and each progressive experiment replaces more matter until it is 99%. Where the matter comes from can be varied. Most people believe that the brain produces the consciousness for the body so it seems all of the matter could be exchanged but for the matter of the brain and the same consciousness would be produced if the rest of the body functioned like the replaced body parts did.
In every conceivable experiment if the resulting structure and functioning is the same the behaviorpath will be the same and all evidence that the awarepath would be the same. All the evidence would also show that the ixperiencitness would be the same also.
If however, if you take the same matter in the same body it can be rearranged to produce any physapath thus any awarepath. Where is the evidence that the body perpetuates the self except through producing continuity of the structure and functioning of matter.
