LEVELS OF ELABORATION

Levels of elaboration are a way to duplicate the way the brain works. the brain starts with a name then each cycle of the brain it elaborates on the meaning of that name finally we get a cycle that is stimulating certain parts of the brain that corresponds to the meaning of the name. In mathematical epistemology we have theocepts. The simplest theocept is a name. A name can be elaborated on it may refer to nothing or be the name of an infinitely complex theocept.

Self generating theocepts are theocepts that are not complete but the do contain processes that can generate themselves. there are many types of self generating theocepts. Their names can even be a self generated process. Names can be long and descriptive so a process my be simpler than a name.

Nonamecepts, theocepts that have no name but have a process that can produce there names. A name can be extremely complex and part of some function so the process of naming can be complex. The name might even be part of the function of the theocept.

Why is elaboration important? If we consider an idealized brain, a word can be mentioned and the brain will produce a consciousness of what that name means to it. For instance, if I hear the name Jane the first elaboration of the name Jane may be the spelling of it. It might also bring to mind a person. On each elaboration or cycle I can bring more and more information into the thought.
