We can do a number of theoretical experiments dealing with fidentireplicas.

Imagine the case of spiting the brain into individual neurons keeping the functioning the same. By pre knowledge or communication. Now imagine we can find other brains that have identical neurons and they function identically for this period of time. We replace the the identical neurons in these many brains with the original fidentireplica neurons. If the split brain produced the idencal consciousness the naturally implanted fidentireplica it sees will have it also. If the naturally implanted fidentireplica produce this consciousness the neurons that it replaced should do this as well.

It seems that the functioning of the neurons can have more than one use in producing a particular consciousness

There are two possibilities that a neuron has only one meaning with a particular functioning or the system that it is connected to defines its meaning in relation to how the system functions How would the system define the meaning? A neurons functioning in a certain way with a certain structure will effect different systems in different ways. But only after it is processed?
