Split brain exp

It has been sugested that we can run an experiment where we take the brain of a person and split it in half and put one half in another body exactly like the first the question is who is the original person? Neither one is becasue lower parts of the brain can not be split with out major distructive changes to the consciousness produced. But if we split the brain and replace the missing half with an identically structured and functioning brain to the missing half you will have consciousnesses that are close but divergent overtime with different sensepath and enviropaths.
