Consciousness is a person’s most important aspect and is the defining self. Consciousness is produced by the functioning of the body and specifically by the functioning of the nervous system. Identical functioning and structure produces identical consciousness. Any number of people through space and time who’s body has your bodies identical functioning and structure will have your bodies consciousness. At any point in your life if a body with that identical functioning and structure as that point, was to exist, it would have your identical consciousness at that point in your life. A dead person does not produce consciousness, consequently, he does not experience time passing. If you were to die today, but any length of time from now an exact functioning body was to exist of you, it would seem like no time had past for you. At any point in your life, at any time in the future, if a person with the exact same functioning and structure to that point in your life, was to exist, it would have the consciousness that you did or will have at that point in your life. If the functioning and structure then diverges from the structure and functioning that you experienced in your life that consciousness would be a possible varation of you. It is like your life being different that it was from that point on but it would still be you. There exists many variations to the structure and functioning that can and could have occurred to a person’s body. Corresponding, there exists many variations to the consciousness that can and could have occurred to a person. A variation in structure and functioning of a person will correspond to a variations in the consciousness of that person. If a different person has the structure and function that corresponds to a structure and functioning variation that you could have had they will have a variation of your consciousness. Generally, a different person that has a structure and functioning that is close to yours will have a consciousness that is close to yours. People have structures and functionings of their bodies that are similar to each other consequently, they have consciousnesses that are similar to each other also. This is one of the reasons that we can communicate because our consciousnesses are similar. One persons varations in his consciousness could be identical to another persons varation in his consciousness. More than one person can have your consciousness. Consequently, more than one person can be you. Since your consciousness has a great deal of variation and potential the range of different people that is and or can be you is very large.

There exists the potential of many different structures and functioning for bodies. These different functioning and structure correspond to many potential different consciousnesses. Every persons body could be modifyed or augmented at any point in their life to be more conscious, sensually aware, and or intellectually productive etc. than they would have other wise been. Human development from a fertilized egg is an augmenting process. Augmenting the structure and functioning of your body can have many positive effects for you and society. Development of this augmenting process in your consciousness in another person is equvalent to the augmenting process in your body.

Not every variation of you will exist but some can always exist.

Many enhanced varations of you will be needed in different advanced societies. Your augmented consciousness can exist through space and time and varations as weel as the non agumented.

Every consciousness is a variation of every other consciousness if the functioning and structure of the bodies can be manipulated in a continuous physical way to be identical to each other producing a continous path of consciousness between them. If you take one body and modify it enough in the correct way it will have the structure and functioning of any desired consciousness. Be nice to you neighbor he may be a close conscious version of you. If you want immortality one needs the advancement of mathematics, science and technology to achieve it. There are many potential conscious versions of a person working toward this goal. You can work toward your conscious immortality today by supporting science, mathematics, and technology --- ultimately the pursuit of knowledge and specifically knowledge about consciousness. You can have control of your consciousness and your immortality. Consciousnesses and their corresponding complex structure and functioning that incorporate many personal consciousness can exist. Consciousness can be produced with out a naturally produced sensepath or a natural world. A consciousness can thus be produced much faster and easier than we would think.

The knowledge of the functioning and structure of a body. how to produce it, and the consciousness it produced, can be represented in a forms other and some simpler than the body itself. This knowledge can be organized and simplified for a continuum of consciousness. Where a path through this continuum represents a conscious life and all the different structures and functioning and needed to produce it.

You are only aware of being aware and only aware of what you are aware of. Some versions of you will be aware of different versions of you. Understanding this theory is one aspect of this.

We are given the ability to correct the injustices of the past for every life cut short or pain suffered can be corrected in a different person with the consciousness extended or suffering removed. This ability is the heaven that god (the universe) has given (conscious beings) -- us. We can make consciousness as wonderful or awful as we wish but only the conscious ones with enough knowledge will be able to do this.

These ideas gives our lives meaning today for ourselves in the future. Our deaths have a different meaning for they form just a part of a much larger consciousness.

Our historical consciousnesses can be recreated and integrated within versions of ourselves and more advanced consciousness versions of ourselves in many different ways.

De je vu memories can in fact be like other consciousness that have occurred in other people in the past or in the future, when the correct partial functioning and structure is repeated or created.

Besides biological bodies other types of complex functioning structures can create consciousnesses and specifically human consciousness. These other types can have the advantage of being more efficient user of resources. Such as faster, smaller, less disruptive and or painful to other consciousnesses and the environment. These different types of bodies, modified in the correct way, can actually produce consciousnesses that reality, in what we consider in normal ways, can not create.
