I have worked on this theory for 35 years. It is a work in progress. The results turn the philosophy of the mind into a science of consciousness. I am a mathematical epistemologist. My goal at the age of 15 was a mathematical science that deals with knowledge the way that mathematics deals with numbers. To understand knowledge it turns out you have to have an understanding of consciousness. This theory is like an alien finding the earth for the first time every where you look there are new an fascinating things to see. Over the years I have written over two thousand pages about these ideas. Because I am not in a publish or perish situation and it is more interesting to explore these ideas than it is to communicate these ideas to others I have not published them. Because there are so many ideas with so much supporting evidence that I have constructed and gathered and so little time to cover in this lecture I will just state principles there are and have been many great scientific theories created
1. The brain produces consciousness through its structure and functioning. 2. A brain frozen with out change or the right kind of change does not produce consciousness. 3. A brain can have many different structures and function in many different ways. A particular structure and way of functioning is call a physical path or physipath for short. 4. Many different physipaths produce consciousness. A consciousness produced by a physipath over time is called awarepath. 5. Identical physipaths produce identical awarepaths. This principle more than any other turns the study of consciousness into a science. It is a simplifying principle that with out 6. What your brain is producing in terms of consciousness now is called actual. what it will, could, or did produce is called potential consciousness. 7. The brain has a momentum of its own that is influenced by its environment through the senses and other physical processes. 8. Identical Matter, energy, space, or time is not necessary to create identical consciousness. 9. I experience what we call consciousness that appears to be different than the physical world. I assume that there are others that are consciousness beyond me. 10 This theory uses no “x” factors like a “souls” “astral bodies” because there is little if any real scientific evidence for them. 11. However, this is not the same as saying that awarepaths can contain elaborate realities where souls etc. Appear to be exist with scientific evidence. 12.
