Assimilation scaffolding

Assimilation scaffolding is the structure of molecules, living cells, organs, body parts and whole bodies that allows matter to be exchanged within them yet allow only small changes to occur to the over all structure. In molecules there is the concept of chemical cycling where a chemical is changed in several to numerous ways into other chemicals and in the end resumes the same original structure but in the process is made of various amounts of different matter from other chemicals from other parts of the body or new matter that has come in from outside of the body. In a cell matter is coming into of the cell from outside but the cells structure stays the same in the sense that it has walls, a nucleus, DNA etc. When we consider the body, the structure of the body stays the same. There are bones, muscles, neurons, etc,. that are constantly changing matter from external sources but the over all structure of the body in most cases changes slowly. The different parts of the body maintain their structure over time because of the "scaffolding structure" that allows matter to be exchanged from within the body and from matter that comes from outside of the body.
