Preexistent argument

Before your present conscious existence did the potential existence of your current body determine your future conscious existence or did the structure and functioning of a body determine if you are going to exist in the future? Is your conscious existence tied to your body no matter what structure and functioning it produces or is it tied to a number of structures and functioning of matter that your body just now happens to be producing?

Superimmortality predicts, ahead of time, that a physapath will always produce a specific behaviorpath, awarepath, and ixpepath no matter what body produces the physapath. The body theory of self predicts that when your current bodies dies then that is the end of your conscious self. Does it tie you to a specific body before your present body existed?
