The mortality of conscious existence is supernatural idea

The mortality of conscious existence is difference than the mortality of the body. Bodies are mortal. They may be extended for an indefinite amount of time but they will eventually stop producing consciousness. The body produces the structure and functioning of matter that produces consciousness. The structure and functioning of matter does not have to be connected to just one body nor to just one body at a time so consciousness does not have to be tied to just one body.

Does a body have to be alive to be conscious? Is an electronic device alive? Can an electronic device if it is structured like a brain and is complex enough produce consciousness? Electronic devies stop functioning correctly or are turned off. Is being turned off the same as dying? What would be the definition of death of an conscious electronic being, if death is permanent for this conscious electronic being? How can you permanently kill off a conscious electronic being? If you totally destroy his body and make it into a dust and spread it out through out the universe is this the end of this conscious being. If there was a blue print of the way the conscious electronic being was before it was destroyed and you duplicated it so it then produced the same structure and functioning wouldn't it produce the same consciousness as before? If it did not why would it not? There has to be either a natural or supernatural explanation for why it did not produce the same consciousness. What natural explanation can it be. not using the exact same matter being in different place or time? If it is an important natural difference it can be corrected. What is important naturally is not the specific matter, place, or time, but the other physical conditions like the over all structure and functioning of the body.

If being alive as a group of chemical organisms means have the ability to reproduce then electronic devices can be made in ways that they can not reproduce thus they would not be alive. It would appear that electronic devices if complex enough and structured and functioning in the right ways could produce consciousness. Since electronic devices could not die
