Why is superatheism needed

There are different definitions for atheism. It is basically a rejection of a belief in gods. Often, since belief in gods is also tied into a belief that only gods can create life after death, a rejection in gods is also connected to a rejection in a belief in any kind of conscious existence after death of the body for a person. It is believed by many atheists that a life after death requires supernatural objects and occurrences like a unique singular soul and a resurrection or reincarnation like event, where the supernatural soul is reunited with a physical body.

Many people see the irrationality of religions but they are too scared of death to abandon their religion. Superatheism denies the existence of supernatural objects and occurrences because they are incoherent, and not needed for, and with science, evidence, rationality and technology. It is hard to connect any supernatural object or occurrence with, or to a technological advancement. Mathematics, science, and technology can be taught, developed, recorded. and understood without reference to any supernatural concepts like souls, spirits, ghosts, heaven, hell, and gods. Supernatural concepts like gods can be replaced with with natural scientific concepts with term names like "super enhanced conscious beings". A connecting device like a soul can be replaced with the scientific concepts like ixperiencitness, physapaths and neuropaths. The supernatural concepts of "heaven" can be replaced with the concept of endless exceptionally nice externapaths producing "endless exceptionally nice awarepaths". And the term "hell" with endless exceptionally awful externapaths producing "endless exceptionally awful awarepaths". Naturally existing physapaths that produce awful awarepaths are usually awful because they do negative things to the body that produce them. Thus they exist for a limited amount of time before the body can no longer produce consciousness. Even if you live an awful, painful, miserable one hundred years it is short compared to infinity in hell. However, a human body in a burning hell is not going to last long so the corresponding awful awarepath will not last long either.

Most people have a sense of fairness for themselves and for others. If all others are suffering that you are around, you may not like the suffering that you are experiencing, but fairness of life is not as big an issue for you, than if you are the only one suffering and everyone else is having a wonder time. When we take everyone as a whole, we see that some people have relatively wonderful long lives and others have terrible lives. If you had to choose, is it better to have a short terrible life with constant unbearable pain and suffering or a shorter live with the same conditions? Unbearable pain means that you would prefer to be dead than to suffer this agony. By definition, shorter is better unless you believe this suffering will end eventually.

Superatheism is atheism with the added knowledge about superimmortality. Superatheism is superior to atheism. Atheism has no goals it is just the rejection of god beliefs. But it actually does have goals that are independent of the beliefs. The first goal is freedom to believe what you want to. The second goal is to have those rights part of the government laws. The third goal is for the government to actively maintain those religious freedom laws. We not only want to have freedom from religion we want to have the right to discuss, analyze and be critical of religious beliefs. Atheism is the rejection of religions as producing more evil than good. What would be nice is if the good that religions do could be combined with the good of atheism. This is what superatheism does. One of the negative aspects of religions is its often dogmatic and has an anti-science stance. One reason for this is the belief that science is supposed to deny the existence of life after death. Atheists frequently argue that we must accept that there is no conscious existence for any one after death. Even though religious arguments for life after death are poor at best, atheists arguments for no life after death are just as bad. This is one of the reasons that superatheism is needed. The science of superimmortality shows how life after death is possible, understandable, and how to make it technologically happen. Superatheism removes the need for supernatural concepts like gods, souls, spirits, hell, heaven, etc., having to exist for there to be conscious existence again for a person after his death. Consequently, religious people will not need to defend the existence of god or other irrational beliefs for the purpose of maintaining a belief in an after life. They will not have to attack areas of science like evolution because they believe it reduces the likelihood of an after life.

Religious people often say that god gives meaning and purpose to life, and if there is no god then there is no reason to continue to live. Atheists counter with one life is worth living to its fullest, meaning and purpose is what we give it in this one life. Superimmortality resolves this issue. Superimmortality does not guarantee life after death for any person, but neither can any religion because god does not have to make any person alive again after death no matter what religious people demand of him as his nature. There is also no time limit where god has to make a person conscious again after death. He could wait an enumerable amount of time before making some one alive again. The science of superimmortality is the most complex science there is or can be. Developing the science of superimmortality gives near endless purpose and meaning to human and other conscious beings existence. The purpose of the universe is to produce conscious beings. The purpose of conscious beings is to be aware of all of the beauty and diversity that is the universe and all that it can ultimately create.
