Zombie

From Aware Theory

The term zombie is used in philosophical discussions as a hypothetical being that responds to stimulus as a person would but that does not experience consciousness. The science of superimmortality also has the definition of an ixperiencitness zombie where the body is animate and conscious but has no ixperiencitness. An ixperiencitness zombie caries on no one's ixperiencitness through space or time. The question is can a conscious being not have an ixperiencitness? One version of this might be a conscious being that is not aware of existing in the past or aware that they will consciously exist in the future, Their consciousness is all about the consciousness of the moment. It is possible that animals that have simple nervous systems are not aware of a past or future. One reason that humans have a sense of self or ixperiencitness is it is helpful for survival and reproduction.

The science of superimmortality makes predictions about animate beings and the conscious that they produce.

  1. If it is known that a certain physipath will produce a specific awarepath, then superimmortality predicts that duplicating the exact same structure and functioning over time (producing the same physapath) in another body will produce the same exact awarepath. Thus It will not produce an animate, (non-conscious) zombie.
  2. If it is known that a certain physipath will produce a specific ixperiencitness, then superimmortality predicts that duplicating the exact same structure and functioning over time (producing the same physapath) in another body will produce the same exact ixperiencitness. Thus It will not produce an animate, conscious, ixperiencitness zombie.
  3. If it is known that a certain physipath will produce a specific ixpepath, then superimmortality predicts that duplicating the exact same structure and functioning over time (producing the same physapath) in another body will produce the same exact ixpepath. Thus It will not produce an animate, conscious, ixperiencitness zombie.
