The christian religion's concept of life after death is based on a replica theory of sorts. The Christian god is supposed to resurrect the bodies of the dead. But the bodies of most of the dead people, if they have been dead long enough, are just skeletons, so most of what needs to be replaced will make these people mostly replicas.
