Supermortal
A being that dies many times in many bodies, and also lives again many times. The book's description of what every conscious being actually is in a universe where consciousness is produced by structure.
A supermortal is a being that dies and lives again - not once, but many times, in many different bodies. The supermortal is what you are, according to the theory. Not a singular thread of experience that runs from birth to death and stops, but a recurring pattern that manifests in successive and simultaneous bodies across time.
The term captures the lived reality of superimmortality. Being a supermortal means that each death is not an ending but a transition - not experienced as such from the inside, but real from the perspective of the universe and the pattern that is you.
What this means
You are a supermortal - a pattern that recurs across many bodies and many deaths, not a single mortal thread.
From the awaretheory.com wiki (advanced reference)
Supermortal means more than just being mortal (dying), it means dying in many different times and places with many different bodies. But to die many times you also have to consciously exist again one to many times after each death. Being supermortal does not means that you are immortal or that you continuously consciously exist through out all of time. Supermortality is based on your consciousness being produced by one of many different bodies with the correct structure and functioning of matter existing over and over again. More than one body can produce versions your many different consciousness at a time so that one body that is producing your consciousness can die and still there can be other bodies that have not died that are producing conscious experiences that you are still experiencing.
Humans along with other conscious beings are or can be supermortal with scientific knowledge and advanced technology. But they can also be supermortal naturally if the universe is productive in producing many conscious beings because of its size and extreme longevity.
