Ixperiencitness duplication
The phenomenon of one ixperiencitness being produced by more than one body. The theoretical possibility that conscious multiplicity rests on.
Ixperiencitness duplication is the production of one ixperiencitness (the quality that makes your conscious experience yours) by more than one body simultaneously or at different times. It is not a copy of your experience that is slightly different - it is numerically the same ixperiencitness occurring in two places.
This is a strong claim, and the theory defends it by distinguishing between identity-as-concept and identity-as-object. The same concept can be instantiated many times. Just as the number two can appear in many equations, your ixperiencitness can appear in many bodies. Duplication is not dilution - having your ixperiencitness in two bodies does not give each one half of you.
What this means
When two bodies produce your ixperiencitness, each has all of it - duplication does not divide, it multiplies.
From the awaretheory.com wiki (advanced reference)
Ixperiencitness duplication is the duplication of the ixperiencitness of some conscious being. It can be the duplication of the original or your ixperiencitness. If this happens it means that two different itobodies have the same ixperiencitness at the same time. The usual belief of most people is that they only have one ixperiencitness and it resides in or is produced by their body or connected to a soul like entity. A close enough approximate duplication of the structure and functioning of the nervous system of a person in another body will produce the same consciousness in the two different bodies. There can also be other types of itobodies with a different structure and functioning that might also produce the same consciousness such as isoidentireplicas, fidentireplicas, musidentireplicas, etc. Identical consciousnesses will have identical ixperiencitnesses, but also many different consciousness can also have the same ixperiencitness. If you would have done any number of different things rather than reading this page it would have had a different consciousness produced by a somewhat different functioning in the brain, but you nonetheless, would still have experienced that consciousness. All of these other consciousness that you could have experienced, if they would have been produced in another body, you would experience them as if your own body produced them. If two or more identical ixperiencitness exist at the same time it is it is a case of ixperiencitness duplication.
